The passage of John 1:4-11 is telling us that John came to preach about Jesus coming but the world would not recognize Him because they thought He was going to save them from the Roman Empire at the time. However, He did not come to do that; but he came to die on the cross for our sins and rise again on the third day. This is why Christ's own did not recognize or recieved Him. Also, this says that John came to testify about Christ coming for His death and resurection. John was preparing people at the time to get ready for Christ coming to earth for His resurection.
The repeated words in this passage are the word world. It tells us that "He was in the world, which was made by Him, but the world did not recognize Him."s This tells us that Christ was sent into the world not to save the Jews from the Roman Empire; but to save us from our sins through the death and resurection. The Jews thought He had come to overthrow the Empire, but He turned out to be something else to them instead of what they pictured. This is why is own did not recieve Him.
The actions and verbs in this passage are came; which tells us that Jesus(God) came to the world to save us from our sins. Another action or verb is the phrase "But His own did not recieve Him." This is saying that because the Jews and everyone else thought He was going to save them from the Empire in the begining; but they later decided He was not their version of God because He did not do what they wanted Him to do.
This passage says taht God came into the world as Jesus Christ and was a stranger to His own because they did not recognize Him.
This passage says that man does not recognize Christ; but we can be saved from our sins through the death and resurection that happened. This also says that man has basically rejected God because they view Him as they want to.
The promises in verse 4 and 9 are That through Him we can have life and show the light that we have through Him to others. Also that by His death and resurection comes redemption and that when we accept Him as our Lord and Savior we can have joy through that and share His light and tell others about the death and resurection of Jesus Christ.
These verses tell us that because Christ was not what the world thought He was, the crusified Him. However, we can see that God used their evil intent, God used for good by the death and resurection of Jesus Christ through the crusifiction.
John 1:4-11 is a history verse because it is teaching us that Jesus (God)"Came to which was His own, but His own did not recieve Him." This is talking about Christ coming to earth and being rejected by people, and later died and rose again on the third day; which is an actual fact and part of history.
I feel like God is telling me that we live in a sinful world that worships everything but God and that most reject Him; but through Him we can gain eternal life with Him in Heaven if we accept that He died for our sins, rose on the third day, and that we accept Him as our Lord and Savior.
This part of John encourages me because even though we have rejected God we can accept Him as our Lord and Savior, and that by believing in the death and resurection of Jesus Christ, we can have eternal life with Him.
